Axwell ? Ingrosso Talk About Their Upcoming Album In An Interview With Pete Tong!

After the heart-rending split of the legendary trio of Swedish House Mafia, we found solace in the Axwell ? Ingrosso duo that emerged, and they have been delivering ace quality tracks ever since. The two members recently opened up to Pete Tong about their upcoming album and more in a 30 minute interview.

First off, the duo finally revealed the meaning behind the symbol ‘?’ in their stage name ‘Axwell ? Ingrosso.’ “The symbol was a golden mistake. It turns out, when we raise our hands together it looks like the ?. It’s the new symbol for togetherness”. Coincidentally, the first track that the duo came up with back in 2004 was also called “Together” and hence the symbol clicked!

When asked to spill the beans on the new album that the two were working on, they had to say, “Before Swedish House Mafia there was supposed to be an Axwell album, and that album thing was a big project. Swedish House Mafia was moving so fast we didn’t even have time to think about making an album, we were just catching up with song after song”. The two also moved back to Sweden in order to work better on the album. “We need our darkness, we need our rain, LA didn’t work out for us creatively.”

Even though the album is still in works, the two have already completed a track in collaboration with Pusha T called “This Time We Can’t Go Home”.
