Needed something perfect to get you in the mood for that party or festival? Sokko & Lyons has always delivered with their phenomenal, zest-infused radio shows and you might remember Orca from there. Not only has the student duo been kind enough to give us a great track to add to the playlist we listen to on our way to concerts, gigs and parties, they’ve given it to us for free!
While Orca might sound like the perfect house track from the time of its conception, the duo seemed to have other plans in mind. Alex Sacco, one half of the duo (yes, the same one who snored at the end of the Molly PSA) claims they “wanted to infuse a Melbourne bounce bassline with a trance lead.” The track was originally trap, but we aren’t complaining that they strayed away from that intention! The result? A bold use of synth, a smooth melody and funky rhythm that intensely picks up your day from the very intro. Uplifting and exquisite, this one is worth your attention.
