Bear Grillz - Terror Shardz

Bear Grillz is back and his dubstep satire is ON POINT! Confused? Unaware of this mammal’s role in the EDM scene? Well, here’s a simple explanation

Proving that opposable thumbs or a basic grasp of the human language are not necessary prerequisites for EDM domination, allow us to introduce to you Bear Grillz. He’s certainly not your standard 28 year-old grizzly bear…

Hailing from Yosemite National Park, Grillz’s story begins on a typical afternoon spent growling at marmots and eating tourists. While busy trying to digest one particularly tricky mountain climber, he discovered amongst his possessions something called a ‘MacBook Pro’. Fast forward 9 months, 6,000 YouTube tutorials and a duck later and we have his debut creation, The ‘High Grade’ EP!

A heavy track,  Terror Shards is not-so-subtle but rather blatantly similar to Terror Squad and Gem Shards, allegedly, two of the most mainstream tunes of Dubstep. While many may call it a ripoff, we feel Troll would be a more appropriate term considering the video Bear Grillz uploaded a few days prior to Terror Shards’ release.

Big hihats, a great drop and everything else characteristic of a ‘good’ dubstep track is on Terror Shards. Aimed at Zomboy and MUST DIE!, Terror Shards features altered synths and Virtual Riot samples.  Give a listen to it below!
