Electronic Music’s favourite ‘troll’ Deadmau5 aka Joel Zimmerman has been making headlines off late for his calling out of Martin Garrix‘s use of pirated software to even questioning the talents possessed by Krewella duo Jahan and Yasmin. Always entertaining with his string of hilarious tweets and beefs; quite a few fans have started to term these as ‘attention seeking disorders’. Nonetheless not many can question the trollmau5’s talents in music production.

Deadmau5 is known to stream his production skills in real-time live on Ustream and now one desirous fan has curated an unreleased track by ‘chopping together a song’ from one of those live streams (this one that lasted six hours!!!). Described as ‘Some song Joel streamed but didn’t release’, the track now goes by the name oas “Half-baked Melody” on Youtube and you can (well, you should) check it out here:

To be very frank, when someone possesses such breath-taking skills of the musical arts, I think they have earned the right to dish out their opinions, no matter how brash. Something on the lines of having “F*ck You Money” as famously coined in the movie ‘The Boiler Room’. And let’s be honest here, this ambient masterpiece is no different. It’s one of those majestic tracks that takes us by surprise by showcasing the wide array of sounds Deadmau5 is capable of ‘WOW’-ing us with. A modern day symphony, if you will (another example: ‘Strobe’).

So have a listen to this track, which has earned the seal of approval from the legend himself:

And to all his detractors…… look away now…. look away…
