Krewella sisters counter sue Kris Trindl a.k.a Rain Man!

After Trindl’s initial suit held the Yousaf sisters to a wall, Yasmin & Jahan have launched a counter-suit against former Krewella band mate Kris Trindl a.k.a Rain man. Court documents were filed on Friday, stating that Trind’s initial suit is “a baseless lawsuit, and we have now responded with documents that set forth the true facts,” according to Richard Busch, who represents the sisters.

These documents also go on to shed light on how Trindl failed to take lessons and learn skills, despite agreeing to learn to DJ and play guitar to add to the quality of the group’s live show performances. Instead, Kris allegedly fell into the bottomless pit of alcoholism and would often appear intoxicated on stage. This impacted the Yousaf sisters for the worse, as his intoxication would lead him to disrupting performances. Eventually, the Yousaf’s used to pull the chord on his mixer to save any future damage.

According to the counter suit, Trindl not only messed up his live stage performances but also failed at the production end of things. Despite receiving production credits on all 12 tracks of the Get Wet album, these newly filed documents claim he only contributed to a single track and and hardly much else on the other tunes. This had led to the sisters reaching out to outside producers to help finish the album for Columbia Records.

The most drastic change in events however, is the fact that the counter suit claims Rain Main resigned, as opposed to earlier indications of being fired. After the unreliable tag stuck on him and falling off the sober wagon two months after promising to straighten his life out, the sisters and their manager Jake Udell of Th3rd Brain decided they’d had it. An intervention was organized with everyone close to Krewella, including a professional interventionist. Everyone wrote letters to Kris, urging him to straighten out his life and come back to Krewella.

“Kris was unaware of the intervention beforehand and at the intervention, it was apparent that he was not sober, with some commenting that they believed he was under the influence of marijuana,” according to court documents. “Everyone read letters to Kris expressing their love and care for him and their concerns for his well being. Kris refused to go to the sixty day treatment plan and instead told everyone to ‘F*ck off.’”

Dina LaPolt, the famous attorney who also represents deadmau5 is also representing Trindl currently. She mentioned, “Yes he’s an alcoholic and an addict. The point that it took him a while to get sober, doesn’t give them right to arbitrarily throw him out and deny him his third share.”She also defends Kris’ musical producing and DJ skills, boldly stating “When they met, [the Yousaf sisters] didn’t know what was a middle C was on the keyboard. They still don’t. The only notes they know are bank notes.”

We don’t know which way this would go, tell us what you think!
