If anyone knows how to truly defy genres and produce something totally extraordinary, it has to be Mat Zo. Switching seamlessly between genres, there’s no one who does it better than him. And he continues to do so absolute finesse in his latest track “Ruffneck Bad Boy“.
Kicking off with some synth based chords, the track progresses with soulful Rastafari vocals and percussive snare to build up towards the breakdown, where all hell breaks loose, with electro synths, a drum and bass structure, distorted bass synths, with some rather exotic sounding synth samples accompanying the whole arrangement. Zo mixes up things for the second breakdown, introducing bass heavy, dubstep synths to the mix, taking the track to a different level. Definitely one for the festival stages.
The track will be out on the 24th of November. Till then check it out here
