German techno and deep house DJ and producer Martin Roth is back at Anjunadeep, with his last production for the record label “Beautiful Life” releasing 2 years back. And does he impress on his return? You bet he does! Releasing a brand new EP with two tracks, “Mel” and “Maya“, Roth displays his impeccable styles of production with these two dark techno influenced gems.
‘Mel’ kicks off with an intriguing bassline, with the synths subtly surrounding your senses in the dark, techno-ish aura that the track creates around you. Meanwhile ‘Maya’, already featured in the Anjunadeep 06 compilation, further ups the ante with a brilliant, atmospheric vibe complete with a melody that just makes us want to dance the night away.
Arriving on the remix duties on the two tracks are Peter Pardeike and Whomi, who remix ‘Maya’ and ‘Mel’ respectively. Whomi, who has earned a name for himself with his remixes for Ultraista and Soul Button, takes on the remixing duties for ‘Maya’, and takes a very minimalistic, yet groovy approach to the remix, making it a delight for the dancefloor lovers. Peter Pardeike on the other hand kicks off the remix of ‘Maya’ with a very distinctive bassline that gradually progresses into an amalgamation of shimmering hi-hats, delectable piano chords and the infectious bassline take it into a new territory altogether.
