LIVE Viacom 18‘s distinct music and art property, Emerge, has been regarded as path-breaking in cutting across barriers of conventional music, hosting an eclectic mix of talented international and local artists, photography, modern art and much more! One will recall, how last year, Emerge hosted the phenomenal talents of Jeremy Loops, Dinner and a Suit and others who enthralled music aficionados across major cities in India. This year, the multi – genre music and art festival promises to elevate its experiences for the audiences with a string of promising artists slated to enrich our calendars with their artistic and musical sensibilities. Charging this run is UK’s bright talent Dismantle who will perform this week as part of an exclusive 3-city tour, in the cities of Mumbai, Pune & Delhi.
Hailing from Bristol, UK, the young Will Knighton has quickly established himself as one of the torchbearers of the revised Bass scene to emerge from the UK Underground. Bordering on the fine lines of Drum & Bass, House and Jungle, Knighton – better knows by his stage name Dismantle -has a signature sound style which is hard to specify but easier to groove to. Having personally been influenced by the sound of ever-surprising The Prodigy, his sound can be credited as being the visionary semblance of everything beautiful about techno and all that’s disruptive about Bass music! His massive single ‘Computation‘ is what introduced him to the Dance Music fraternity and it wasn’t long before heavyweights such as Diplo, Annie Mac, Skrillex, Mista Jam, Benga & Skream, all lined up for support for this super-talented producer. If he isn’t holed up in his studio producing monster hits or remixing gems, he’s out touring. With plenty of individual tours marked on his itenary, the young DJ also has festivals such as Glastonbury, Hideout, Global Gathering, Tomorrowland, SW4, Pukkelpop and Bestival adorning his already impressive portfolio. To give you a taste of what to expect from Dismantle, we’ve dug down deep and bring to you some of his best work so far!
