Come September 2nd, legendary producer Richie Hawtin shall be bestowed with a huge honor at this year’s AIM Independent Music Awards in London. Set to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, Richie joins preceding recipients from the likes of Bjork and Edwyn Collins to Billy Brag.
What’s more, turns out he’s the first electronic musician to be honored! Doubly well done, indeed. Having garnered decades of experience in producing music, Richie launched his career around the 80’s and has never looked back since. The proud owner of two successful labels as well his own “Enter” night in Ibiza, Richie shall receive the publicly nominated award at the fourth annual ceremony right after Labour Day.
