While in 1983, it was the cassette or the LP doing the rounds, by 2013 we see a boom in virtual rather than physical copies being preferred. CDs, which boomed along the course of this transferred preference surprisingly still constitute almost one third of the sales! Wonder how long it will be till merely downloads reign the realm of music sales?
