In a weekend that included the rise and spread of the Indian Dance Music brigade at the Global Music scene, India’s queen of Electronica,Pearl , touched a new milestone as she joined industry heavyweights on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Stage at the glorious Global Gathering Festival. Hosted at Long Marston Airfield, Warwickshire, the festival has a rich heritage of Electronic music, launching the performing careers of many greats as well as becoming a platform for budding artists to show their promise. Pearl was no beginner here as she joined the biggest names from the spectrum of Electronic music from the likes of Eric Prydz, Pete Tong, Eats Everything, Sasha, Nic Fanciulli, Duke Dumont, Breach, Tensnake, Skream among others!
While we haven’t been able to get our hands on any footage of Pearl herself spinning the decks, the stage was rich with Dance music quality as a strong of back-to-backs and some memorable solo performances made it one of the most emphatic musical experience of this years festival.
