John Digweed confirmed for Burn Residency

After a lot of speculation, it has been finally confirmed that legendary dj/producer John Digweed will be the special headlining mentor for this year’s Burn Residency bootcamp to help nurture and guide the up-and-coming djing talent in the industry. Founder of Bedrock record label, John Digweed is one of the most respected artists of the electronic music scene through his enduring work and will be flying to Ibiza with his wealth of knowledge and years of proficiency.

Joining John in the row of headlining mentors are Pete Tong, Carl Cox and Philip Straub who together will be casting their precious votes over this year’s aspiring DJs to select the best five that will be bestowed with much desired residencies at Ibiza popular clubs Café Mambo, Sankeys and Privilege. The ultimate winner will become the next DJ Superstar and will win a 100,000 EUR prize to be invested in their career. Apart from selecting the best five, John is also reported to play a decisive role in supporting them throughout their residencies on the island, till the overall winner of Burn Residency 2014 is announced in September.

Devoted to preparing competitors with their skills they need to succeed, they will also be receiving production master classes from industry partners such as Akai, Numark, M-Audio and Native Instruments.
