Nest HQ, a venture made by Skrillex last year in order to provide new, inspiring and evolving ideas in dance music a platform to thrive, is considered as one the most avant-garde projects for EDM today. The same venture today brings forth its new video series called “In The Nest” that would feature acts whose name deserve to go big in the electronic music world, as the Dubstep maestro and the OWSLA top dog, Skrillex himself stated “just cuz there are so many good artists coming up in the game you may not get to hear about.”
Since the mission of Nest HQ is solely to expand the reach of good quality music that is worthy if being recognized, ‘In The Nest’ takes it a step further as you get to know these artists up close and personal via a video platform; and what could be a better way to start than with the incredibly creative disco-funk DJ, Kaytranada!
One listen is all it takes to get hooked to this Canadian DJ’s spacey yet irresistibly soulful tunes. In this video of ‘In The Mix with: Kaytranada’, the first of its kind, the budding star talks about how he found more comfort in communicating through music than in words “I wasn’t a big talker, so I just could express myself through music. I mean, that shit is very deep. You’re in your own bubble. Your own world”, he had to say.
