Everything that Porter Robinson touches, is known to turn to sonic gold. It is no wonder that his forthcoming album ‘Worlds‘ has quickly ascended in the ranks of the proverbial Dance Music fan, as one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. With his two tracks “Sea of Voices” and “Sad Machine” already stirring up a frenzy among his religious fans, Porter Robinson premiered yet another new track called ‘Lionhearted‘ – this time in a collaboration with Swedish group Urban Cone, as another step forward to raising the curtain behind his masterpiece.
Premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, the track opens with a gentle trickle of beats and synth melodies assisted by Emil Gustafsson, Rasmus Flyckt, Magnus Folkö, Tim Formgren and Jacob William Sjöberg of Urban Cone, as Porter Robinson constructs a funky sound terrain. The track builds past a progressive synth chain and melody, before an electro groove ushers in past the break and adds a jubilant and zealous drop to the track.
