5 Things To Expect at Dada Land This Weekend!

‘This is Dada Land. Get ready to arrive beautiful and leave ugly. There are no rules but the rules of Dada. Don’t look back in the past. Always go forward. And whatever you do: don’t trust us.’

The bio on Dada Lifes’ website sounds just a little bit ominous. With all the banana eating and champagne popping, you just expect the same old crazy that you encounter at any concert. But Dada Land is famous for raising the bar and bringing you new levels of absolute mayhem. Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom came together in 2006 and changed the way you experience concerts. Here are 5 things you could expect at Dada Land, India:

1.  Champagne & Bananas!

In fall 2012, Dada Life embarked on a North American tour, and during this time they played to over 100,000 fans and reportedly used more than 8,000 lbs of bananas and 3,000 bottles of champagne. You can bet your life on the probability that they’ll be bringing some of the same to their little sovereign nation in India, giving the ever popular terminology coined originally by LMFAO ‘Champagne Showers’ a whole new definition. As for the bananas, they’re there to help you keep going, going, going till you’re absolutely gone!

2. Redefining the concept of ‘raging’!

Dada Life concerts are known for bringing something new and unexpected each time. At Electric Daisy Carnival 2011, Dada Life brought out a full marching band to perform their song “White Noise / Red Meat. At a show at Avalon in Los Angeles in 2010 there were riots on the streets when more people showed up than the club could accommodate, because obviously when you’re born to rage, something small like capacity can’t stop you! But the craziest experience would probably be in 2006, when they broke the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest pillow fight at a Dada Land Compound event at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago which had 3,813 participants.

3. The only rule is that there are no rules!

After starting a petition in early 2013 asking for the United Nations to recognize Dada Life’s fictitious nation of Dada Land as a sovereign country, Dada Life were stopped from leaving Sweden and their passports were revoked temporarily as they headed to Miami for the annual Miami Music Week. While their claims will never legally be legitimized, Dada Land is real enough to their fans, and the normal rules of reality don’t apply in the Land of Dada. So get ready for some unmitigated fun and leave reality behind!

4. The epic motherf***ing music!

Do you love the bass so loud you can’t hear yourself think? Drops deeper than the Pacific? If your answer is a big YES then you’re going to love the experience you’ll have at Dada Land India. You’ll arrive beautiful and leave ugly because that music will make you feel So Young and So High. Dada Life brings the same infectious energy to every concert, guaranteed to make you rage!

5. It’s the chance of a lifetime!

If the reasons above haven’t got you excited enough for the impending transformation of India into Dada Land, this should: a Dada Life concert is unlike any you will ever experience in your life! People in banana costumes is probably just the least of the shenanigans awaiting you. Did I mention Dada Life conducts some of the most epic sit downs in dance music history? If you think you’ve witnessed a crazy sit down, prepare to be amazed, and if you can’t believe, check out the epic video below! No holds barred mayhem with only the rules of Dada to live by? Sounds almost too good to be true. But it’s real and it’s happening. So wear your craziest Dada costumes and bring your bananas, because you’re going to need that energy to keep up with the men that will take you higher!
