In 2005 Alexander Shapovalov, Denis Chepikov and Sergey Zuev came together in Smolensk, their home town to form Hard Rock Sofa. It was a time in Russia when dance music was not as popular as it today. Sergey then left the group after a brief stint to pursue his dream of being the lead singer of a rock n’ roll band.
8 years, releases on 10 labels, 30 singles, 80 remixes and 100?s of shows later, the duo have established themselves as Russian house legends and have achieved global greatness. Refreshingly pleasing ferocious originals is what one gets from Hard Rock Sofa. You can feel the intensity of their music in every beat of every track they produce, their sets feature vibrant and energetic tunes that always receives a stamp of approval from it’s listeners.
