British producers Ricky Simmonds and Steve Jones combined to form Lustral over 15 years ago, and thus began their journey of musically inspired concepts. The duo have seen plenty of club and chart success as their productions and remixes have been highlights of many DJ sets, as they have garnered support from the biggest luminaries in the Trance scene. After a string of consistent releases over the years, Lustral return now with a power packed album ‘Empathy‘ – which takes their musical expressions to an an new level of timelessness and substance.
The album features a horde of vocal trance grooves with vocals from the likes of Ricky Simmonds, Abigail Bailey and Laura Jenkins. Right from the opening tracks ‘Once again‘ and ‘I Feel you‘, a warm effervescent tone is established, one that is fresh from any electro synths and loud drops, presenting their album as a composed symphony rather than an assortment of hard-hitting club anthems. Transcending boundaries of genre and time, tracks like ‘When the Angels miss your call’ and ‘Still loving you’, add a sense of ease into their album as goto club tracks such as ‘When my satellite falls down‘ and ‘I Can’t wait‘ certainly pack a punch to make the album an unpredictable journey of delectable collections.
