Acclaimed House music veteran Doorly returns to his enigmatic ‘Boom Boom Room‘ EP with its third installment and will find its release on the prestigious Toolroom Records label. With Episode 2 causing a furore on dancefloors last year, the 3rd EP brings back some serious funk elements into Doorly‘s house domain, as he puts out two naughty tracks in the form of ‘Ladies night‘ and ‘Thunder clap‘. Garnering support from the industry heavyweights such as Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Pete Tong, Fatboy Slim, Cajmere and Groove Armada, Doorly‘s visionary series has all the elements that make House music as distinctive and pure as a sound as any.
While A-sided “Ladies night” features a series of vocals mish-mashed together in no constructive order, a funky overdrive is packed with a groovy bassline and some light percussive work. With added elements such as crowd cheering and additional vocals adorning the sound spectrum, the track ascends and descends in intensity, and brings everything beautiful about House music on the platter! The B-side features a bass-heavy vision of ‘Thunder clap‘, and glorifies a hard hitting bassline with some delayed claps and funky grooves. Vocals cheering on, the claps see chopped up and delayed effects added on them, before euphoric vocal effects add a slight tint of intrigue to the venture.
