One of the greatest music entertainment channels in history, MTV recently announced via Facebook, that they are starting a new reality show calling out to people addicted to Molly. That’s right! You heard it correctly, MTV is actively looking to up their voyeuristic ante, after popular shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, by starting off a new program titled ‘True Life: I’m addicted to Molly’.

In a bizarre, yet shocking twist of reel life fate, MTV has delivered the news series by tweeting about the casting for the show and calling out to youngsters around the world to talk about their life of addiction to the drug more popularly known as MDMA with the street name Molly.

While all across the world, producers and musicians are talking about new methods to combat the not too infamous association of drugs with electronic music, it comes as a bit of a shocker that MTV, a prolific music channel, has shown an interest in hosting a show of such nature. It is even more surprising to see that the show received clearance from the ethical board.

Let us hope that the show is being done to bring awareness to the rising trend of drug usage around the world and will shed light on ways to combat the same, while maintaining the true integrity of music and reality shows.
