A yearly tradition since 2006, world renowned trance icon Armin van Buuren last Friday brought us yet another incredible assortment of best in trance and progressive under his gold standard A State of Trance compilation. Having just been released and it’s stormed the charts around the world, coming in at #1 in the iTunes Main Charts in Russia, the Netherlands, South Africa, Indonesia and India and reaching #1 in the iTunes Dance Charts in Mexico, Brazil and Turkey. It has also reached a Top 5 iTunes position in the US, UK, Denmark, France and Australia.
With 35 tracks and following the signature style of 2 different mix styles (‘On The Beach’ and ‘In The Club’), the double-set covers a lot of province. The compilation features several Van Buuren tunes, like ‘Eiforya’ i.e. a collaboration with Andrew Rayel, ‘Save My Night’ that was featured in assistance with Heineken for the ‘Dance More, Drink Slow’ crusade and the freshly released, tremendously leading Armin Only stronghold, ‘Ping Pong’. Also included in the bullion set are big releases from Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Orjan Nilsen, Aly & Fila, Alexander Popov, Protoculture, GAIA, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and of course ‘New Horizons’, the ASOT650 anthem from Jorn van Deynhoven.
