Serving as the perfect accompaniment to the track comes the masterfully directed video from DI-RECT’s go-to filmmaker Oscar Verpoort and Final Kid (UMF Aftermovie fame). Taking place amongst a plunging landscape in the Iceland Mountains and through a series of breathtaking craning takes and sweeping snowy chopper shots, the camera follows a young boy on his search for Eutopia as he battles through the rubble of a ruined land. A metaphorical tale of someone’s highs and lows to reach the top, the video juxtaposes the high-energy track with slow motion photography, allowing us to bask in both the poignant imagery and music – as harmonious as the two Dutch talents combining. DI-RECT’s thumping indie rock and Fedde Le Grand’s typically accomplished production continue to build and build with blisssful tones and lead singer Veenendaal’s stirring lyrics right up till the euphoric conclusion.
