So, Joel Zimmerman better known as deadmau5 is here with some new music yet again. This time the Canadian producer previews his newest projects on soundcloud titled “Coelacanth” and “Fck a Coelacanth”. For those who are wondering, a Coelacanth is a 400 million year old nearly extinct fish found off the coast of the Indian Ocean. According to Twitter, Joel wonders if he could get one as a pet.

The first track which he brought out today is more than 10-minutes long and is a minimal & tribal sort of composition, which he label it as “NearlyExtinctStep”. He uses some drum samples from his hit “Where My Keys” in the track and seems to be melodically influenced from his masterpiece “Strobe”. Whereas, the second track which is just a snippet and as he stated on twitter is a remix/rendition of the first one. But it seems to be sounding completely different and more upright and brighter than the first one. Using a strong bassline and a vocal sample, this uptight production of mau5 seems to be an upcoming hit.

With deadmau5 on a production spree, and the tracks which have surfaced out recently like Suckfest9001, Suite 02 and Turbo CartPig Racer, we can sense an album coming in the near future.
