German-born and Miami-residing trance heavyweight, Markus Schulz has put together a Summer mix for 2013 right before kicking off his hectic touring schedule and performing his milestone 12-hour open-to-close, marathon set at Tomorrowland in Belgium.

Aimed to be a sort of practice and to ease his trouble sleeping, Schulz has given us a fantastic 2 hours of what is essentially the best of selections from his performances the past few months.

Matching the degree of his talent to the hilt, the mix is deeply in tune with establishing a sonic journey through a variety of tempos, genres, and styles. At certain instances ambient and immersive and at others energetic and driving, the mix shifts and pivots in a way that only some of Markus’s stature is capable of delivering.

In Markus’s words;

Summer is here and it’s an incredibly hectic time for me, with a heavy schedule of gigs highlighed by a historic 12 hour open to close solo set at Tomorrowland in Belgium, along with finishing the much awaited 2013 city series compilation and working on our special Global DJ Broadcast Sunrise Set and Coldharbour Day.

To get you warmed up for all of that, plus as something to keep my mind occupied while struggling to sleep lately, I’ve put together another exclusive Soundcloud Summer Mix for you all, this time being 2 hours long.

Much like the Spring edition, consider it as a mini “best-of” GDJB from the past couple of months, along with a couple of oldies that consistently get requested..
