Earlier this year, ID&T announced its intention of taking the most epic music festival global. They told a Belgian business paper“It’s our ambition to organise a Tomorrowland on every continent. We have received requests for versions of Tomorrowland from all over the world. From rich Russians and Indians to promoters in Australia, the U.S. and South America. We will do it, but on our conditions, and only in places where we feel comfortable.” The location was leaked as Atlanta, GA but now has been confirmed during a conference held yesterday at the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach.

Here is a little information about ID&T:

ID&T is a young and pioneering electronic music experience company, known for events such as Sensation, Mysteryland and Tomorrowland. ID&T was founded in 1992 and whose worldwide headquarters are in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It has offices in Belgium, Australia, Brazil and recently opened an office in the US. ID&T has organised events for over 20 years, focusing on international productions in the last 10 years and organises experience events in over twenty countries worldwide. World renowned for delivering unrivaled levels of production and experience, it is perceived as a company in a class of its own.

Tomorrowland’s attendance has doubled from 90,000 in 2009 to 180,00 in 2012 and the epic festival can only expect to do better given the past experiences it has delivered. The North American leg will be held during a weekend in late September, 2013 (27, 28, and 29). Based on the manner in which the Belgian version has been organized, we can only expect to see the biggest names and production setup to go along with them. The North American continent has become one of the largest EDM markets in the past few years and this move was inevitable.

Extracted from a press release via ID&T:

After an extensive trawl across the globe with well over 100 sites under evaluation, the Tomorrowland team settled on Chattahoochee Hills (aka Bouckaert Farm), with the site itself owned by fellow Belgian Carl Bouckaert – the perfect fit. The site includes the same natural amphitheatre found in Belgium for the show-stopping main stage, as well as rolling hills, natural lakes and every amenity possible to allow the full Tomorrowland experience to take place successfully and to make its own mark as the second home.

Located just at a short drive from Atlanta, Georgia, this event will not exclude any feature that is a part of the epic event that has now generated an almost religious following, if you consider EDM a faith, which many of us do. Along with the festival, Global Journey and DreamVille packages will also be made available.

Global Journey packages are the easiest way to travel to TomorrowWorld. The Global Journey packages offer you the best service, covering your trip from the moment you take off, right through to your return trip home. Packages also include all local transportation to insure that all travelers have nothing to be concerned with and can enjoy TomorrowWorld to the maximum. Global journey planes will be flying in from 35 global locations including NY, LA, London, Tokyo and Rio De Janeiro.

DreamVille is the magical accommodation experience; a Village in itself. DreamVillers are invited one day earlier on the Thursday before the festival officially opens on Friday.

This is said to be a 21+ event and the capacity of Chattahoochee Hills, GA, is 150,000. Lineup is said to be announced in early April. The tickets will go on sale for US residents exclusively on April 27th and will be available globally on May 4th to make sure homebase is taken care of first. For anybody who hasn’t had the chance to make it to Belgium, this is the moment to see some of the biggest names in the industry.
