The World’s No. 1 DJ Armin Van Buuren celebrated the 600th episode of his radio show, A State of Trance with a live performance at Turf Club, Mahalaxmi. Other highlights of the day were sets by Egypt’s Aly & Fila, Canada’s Arnej, Rank 1 of the Netherlands, American DJ Shogun and India’s Vinayak^ and Sanjay Dutta at The Turf Club, Mahalaksmi, Mumbai for the award winning A State of Trance 600 concert (ASOT600), one of the most popular dance music radio shows in the world. Mumbai was amongst one of the lucky cities chosen for the 2013 ‘Expedition Tour,’ which also included stops in New York, Beirut, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Kuala Lumpur and Den Bosch. The leading power house of dance music in India, Submerge was the force responsible for the success of the 12th birthday celebrations of the iconic radio show. Spotted in the crowd were celebrities including Nikhil Chinapa, Hermit Sethi, Harinder Singh, Arjun & Meher Rampal, Sussane Roshan, Kailash Surendranath, Yash Birla, Rehan Shah, Sameer & Palak Seth, Parvez Damania, Nauheed Cyrusi and Sushmita Senamongst others.
ASOT boasts of 25 million weekly listeners in 26 countries and is a weekly routine for devout dance music fans. Through his radio show, Armin has defined the dance music scene around the world, setting a template that has inspired many other artists. Post A State of Trance 250, every 50th episode of the radio show has been marked as a milestone that has been celebrated through a live concert.
